  1. Alvin, where is your personal reflection of the playground? Is this site relevant to what you are doing?
And tell us what have you learnt from this playground that you want to incorporate and make your P1 design better.

  2. Alvin: From the Play Ground Visit to gardens by the bay, i physically played with the different elements, from the wet to the dry and from the high and the low.
Some observation made was the use if EDMP or sand to cushion the fell.

The position of the " stage'/ sitting area, this area over looks the entire water play area

The positions of the F&B and locker, surrounds the play area, this creates a Kid play area within a city garden

I also like how the dry play area is hidden away from the public view, it's somewhat a spaces within another space. The dry play area is also aline in such a way whereby the most interesting 3 storey play ground is position at the back after all the others

The play area also has slides, and small staircase which connect from the play area to the main circulation paths

  3. Remember you need to have a buffer zone next to the roads. You cannot have play facilities right next to roads - physically and psychologically not safe. Anyway there is an existing path next to the road so you should retain it.

  4. Detail design of 1:100 you should be able to include many details of your key area. Show the detailed play element design in context to the site area. Also for example, at that scale, floor patterns (may it be in any materials) can be designed.
